Pubic transit in Kiev does what it was to designed to do, and then some. The impressive, efficient, and inexpensive network of buses, trams, trolley buses, metros and route taxis that can get you most anywhere you need to go in the city. It works well enough, in fact, that passengers can often feel the pinch of its popularity at rush hour...then there's the Cyrillic signage...not to mention the weather...perhaps it's not so surprising after all that expats spend more time reaching for their car keys than bus passes.
