На Бориспольской трассе авто Dodge Viper SRT10 соревновалось с Ferrari. Рядом с финишем Dodge Viper ударился об отбойник и несколько раз перевернулся. После того как на место аварии приехали медики, на полной скорости в карету скорой врезался мотоциклист, погибший на месте. Как оказалось это было не последнее ДТП на Бориспольской трассе: Шевроле Лачетти на большой скорости врезался в один отбойник, срикошетил и пересек по диагонали всю магистраль и врезался в отбойник с другой стороны дороги. Всё это результат гонки, которая сначала была организована на улице Бажана в Киеве, сразу за Южным мостом. «Организаторы выходили в жилетках с палочками, похожими на гаишные, и останавливали весь поток машин на ул. Бажана. И гонялись по 5-7 заездов, пропустили машин 50 и снова перекрывали. Пробка была очень большая», - отмечают очевидцы. Київський політехнічний інститут змінив графік занять студентів заради розвантаження станції столичного метрополітену. Щодня для 10 тисяч студентів вишу навчання починатиметься о 10.25 ранку, а не о 8.30, як зазвичай. У повідомленні столичної підземки зазначається, що ініціатором перенесення занять був метрополітен. На підприємстві стверджують, що така практика, яка триває вже не один рік, повністю себе виправдала.
На замороженому будівництві в Києві за адресою вулиця Олени Теліги 25 (метро Дорогожичі) сталася пожежа. У небо піднявся стовбур диму приблизно в 200 метрів. Було чутно, як від високої температури тріскається бетон. Найцікавіше те, що через два дні КиївЖитлоБуд почали обходити сусідні будинки із опитуванням: "Чи не проти вони того, аби цей будинок добудували?".
